Trinity is involved in the community in a number of ways. Since 2011, Trinity has organized and sponsored the BackPack Buddy program for Tipton and Bennett schoolkids in need of food for the weekends during the school year. As of 2024, the program serves 26 students- 15 students in Bennett and 11 in Tipton.
In 2016, Trinity first participated in the ELCA’s “God’s Work. Our Hands.” Sunday by cleaning up trash along highway 130, singing hymns with residents at Cedar Manor nursing home, and making thank-you cards for local first responders. We continue this ministry every year and look forward to what project we can do next.
In 2024, Trinity helped fund rebuilding of an elementary school in Gboata, Liberia. A Trinity family matched Trinity’s gift, as a memorial to their parents, and now the school has been built and named in their honor.
