I. Call to Order/Attendance Terri, Laurie, Beth, Janel and Kendra. Meeting commenced at 6:01pm
II. Devotion and prayer – Led by Laurie from the book The Lives We Actually Have. For May: Janel
III. Administration
A. Approve Minutes – Approve minutes of last meeting. Laurie motioned, Janel seconded to
approve the March 11, 2024, minutes. Passed unanimously.
B. Treasurer’s Report – Elaine is on vacation, will have complete March 2025 Treasurer’s report at
next meeting. Receipts for March were around $8000, which is our normal average.
IV. Previous Business (compilation of issues from the past six months):
A. Tidbits / Evangelism
The council decided that we are still within the budget to have the Tidbits Newsletter. We are
not over on the copier budget and if necessary, we can use the Evangelism budget. We feel it is
valuable to the community and our congregation.
• Feedback from Charline
• Continued discussion on including Tidbits Newsletter costs as a part of evangelism vs
copier expense.
B. SE Iowa ELCA Synod Assembly
• Registration ends soon.
• Need 1-2 church members to attend. Saturday May 17th
830am-4pm (Check in 8:30-9:45)
Grandview University Henning Student Center Des Moines
• Deb Cook will be attending for SAMS
V. New Business
A. Council Photos with Caitlin
• Caitlin will stop in during the meeting to take council photos for our website
• Remember to send photos to office@trinitytipton.org if you have any recent church photos
B. SAM Updates – Laurie
New schedule through August is on the board.
Zoom Training is done until fall.
Deb will be attending the retreat in Cedar Falls. Will be staying overnight to attend both days.
Next Cedar Manor service in will be in May or June.

C. Tipton Ministerial Easter Service – Laurie
• Donuts – Kendra made a motion to pay for the donuts for Easter service. Terri seconded.
Motion carried.
• Laurie is going to be assisting with the service.
D. Vision to Action Update – Terri
• Zion UCC congregation approved Covenant on 3/16/25, Trinity on 2/16/25.
• Vision team meeting April 10th at 7pm in Tipton with Zion UCC, Trinity, Pastor Kuckuck and
Kendy from UCC on future steps and process.
E. Custodian Position
• Hiring plan – Will post on Facebook.
• How to handle custodial duties until position is filled. Will talk to Paul Martin about possibly
helping in the meantime.
F. Committee Updates
a. Education Beth – Earth Day recognition, Blakely confirmation in October,
UCC is hosting VBS in July, Bible explorers maybe provide a snack.
b. Worship & Tech Kim
c. Property Laurie – Mike A. is working on lights that are burnt out.
d. Stewardship Kendra
e. Evangelism Kendra
f. Human Resources Terri – will meet with Alicia for exit interview and get keys.
g. Hospitality Janel
h. Finance Laurie

G. Other – Laurie talked to Sarah Martin. Henry does not want a service but will probably do a
visitation. Wanted to know if they could use the church. Council agreed that they could.
