I. Call to Order/Attendance – Terri, Laurie, Mike, Elaine, Kristy, Janel and Kendra. Meeting
commenced at 6:00pm
II. Devotion and prayer – Prayer led by Terri
III. Administration
A. Approve Minutes – Approve minutes of last meeting. Laurie motioned, Terri seconded to
approve the October 8, 2024, minutes. Passed unanimously.
B. Treasurer’s Report – Approve the treasurer’s report for October. Mike motioned, Laurie
seconded to approve the report. Passed unanimously.
IV. Previous Business (compilation of issues from the past six months):
A. Leaf Pick-Up Alicia took care of the leaves a couple times this year. On November 17th we will be
raking and picking up leaves after church.
B. Snow Removal
• Grasshopper preliminary contract
• Discussion of other options/bids – Kuehl’s are going to give an estimate.

V. New Business:
A. SAM Updates – Laurie
• Boundary Training update – attended 11-7-24, will be a three-year cycle with training
every year.
• Other Updates – Will be ordering Devotion books for Advent & Christmas since there will
not be mid-week service during Advent this year.

B. Annual Meeting:

• Date and Time: February 16th following church
• Committee Liaisons:
Reach out to committee chairs.
o We need a committee report from each committee, even if there were no
meetings or no updates prior to Jan 15th.
o Have them turned into Caitlin, and let you know when complete.
o Let me know once your committee’s reports have been submitted.

o We will need treasurer’s reports for congregation, including year over year
(Elaine), WELCA, and ELCA Mission Investment Fund (Sara Martin)
o We will need the proposed budget as well (Laurie).
Previous Budget $66,075 Proposed Budget $76,285

• Note taker for meeting – Kendra
• Other: Mike, Kristy and Kendra’s council term ends as of 02/16/25.
Kendra volunteered to remain on council for another term.
Kristy is working on finding her own replacement.
Mike will go off council at the end of his term

C. Wedding Process while no pastor – May 3rd Pastor Donnita will perform a wedding for Noah
Pelzer here.
D. Data gathering for upcoming Vision to Action Meeting with Lowden UCC 11/14
• Discussions will be around policies and procedures, logistics & Finances.
• Vision committee (Kim, Sally, Terri) will be meeting Monday night to complete most of
the information asked on the attached document. I’d like council to look at the meeting
and add any additional input.
• Projected Funds toward a part-time pastor. What can we afford? Roughly $27,000 to
$39,000 depending on SAMS involvement.
E. Thanksgiving Ecumenical Service Details
▪ Date/Time/Location 6:30 on November 24th at Foursquare. Caitlin post on Facebook and
in bulletin.

E. Committee Updates
a. Education Kristy – Confirmation class Kim Pelzer is teaching Blakely. 7
kids in Sunday school.
b. Worship & Tech Kristy
c. Property Mike – Handicap door has been fixed. Roth Electric fixed the
door. Mike has talked to Dan regarding fixing metal doors. Discussed concern brought
to councils’ attention regarding God’s Hands Sunday. It was decided that we will
continue to have a prayer and spend time working on items needed.
