Lent

Lent is the season of the church year preceding Easter. It is a time for reflection, prayer, and above all, centering ourselves in our baptismal identities. We celebrate Lent in a few different ways at Trinity:

  • Midweek worship, starting on February 10 and continuing through March 16, at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays. Feb. 10 is Ash Wednesday, and the following weeks we’ll reflect on the Five Senses of Lent.
  • Holy Week worship, on Maundy Thursday, March 24, and Good Friday, March 25. Join us at 6:30 pm for the services commemorating the final days of our Lord Jesus Christ’s life on Earth.
  • Giving. For the 40 days of Lent, we’ll take the opportunity to focus on the ways we can support the ministry of the broader church, especially through contributions to the ELCA efforts to reduce hunger around the world.
